Shropshire-born novelist Mary Webb loved Lyth Hill and lived in a small bungalow called Spring Cottage. It was here that she wrote The House in Dormer Forest and many of her poems.
A favourite walk at in spring is through the wild garlic that carpets the route of the old railway line at Much Wenlock.
