Autumn colour in the Stretton Hills
Here's an autumnal scene near Church Stretton, with Hope Bowdler Hill sweeping down in front of me.
The hill is home to the rocky outcrop known as the Gaer Stone, which can be seen on top of the slope to the right.
On the other side of the hill is the village of Hope Bowdler, which was known simply as Hope - meaning a valley - until the lord of the manor, Baldwin de Boulers, added his name in the 12th century.
Rising in the distance is Caer Caradoc, which overlooks the town of Church Stretton.
It was a beautiful morning for a walk, and if you look carefully you can see two ramblers on the summit of Caradoc.
