New page in the story of A Shropshire Lad
The official launch of a new edition of A Shropshire Lad was held in Ludlow earlier this week.
This is a photographic version of A E Housman's much-loved work, and I was absolutely delighted to be commissioned to provide the images for the book.
The launch was held at St Laurence’s Church, where Housman's ashes are interred against the north wall.
Guests included Housman expert Peter Parker, who wrote the introduction to the new book, and Max Hunt, chairman of the Housman Society, who spoke about the poet's life and work.
I am pictured second left with Karen McCall, MD of Merlin Unwin Books, Peter Parker, Max Hunt and John Cartwright, chairman of Ludlow Civic Society.
The book is now on sale in bookshops and outlets across Shropshire, and is also available here.
