Magical morning on top of Caer Caradoc
An ethereal view of Wenlock Edge as the sun rises over Wolverhampton and the West Midlands.
I took this picture while standing on the summit of Caer Caradoc, on a magical morning when the landscape looked like something from another world.
This was my reward for keeping a sharp eye on the weather forecast.
Fog had been predicted for several days, but of course nothing is ever certain.
I set out at 4.30am and as I approached Church Stretton I could see the looming shape of Caradoc shrouded in white.
Clouds of fog rolled in as I walked up the hill, and when I reached the summit I was greeted with wonderful views that took your breath away.
Mornings don’t come much better than this!
