Clouds and sunlight in the Shropshire Hills
Green and glorious - this is the view from the Long Mynd, looking out across Adstone Hill towards the Stiperstones.

Ranged across the horizon are, from left, Cranberry Rock, Diamond Rock, Saddle Rock, Manstone Rock and the Devil’s Chair.
For this shot I was standing near the Portway, an ancient track that runs the length of the Long Mynd.
Anyone who is familiar with the Portway will know how steep it is, and when I drive up it I always hope that I won’t meet another vehicle coming down.
On this occasion I was confronted by a lorry, but fortunately the driver pulled into a passing place and I was able to continue without stopping or reversing.
I parked near the gliding station, found a suitable spot to sit down on the grass, and for the next hour was buffeted by an unrelenting wind as I waited for passing clouds to move on.
Finally, my patience was rewarded and I got the shot I wanted.
