Sunshine and sea of mist on Brown Clee
A path into history along the grassy ramparts of Nordy Bank hill fort, on the lower slopes of Brown Clee.

A layer of mist was moving up the hill as I walked in the late afternoon sunshine, but this was the closest it came to me.
Nordy Bank is an Iron Age fort that occupies a strong defensive position covering nearly eight acres, and is roughly oval in shape.
In the distance is Abdon Burf, the final resting place of writer and broadcaster Simon Evans - known as the Postman Poet - who lived in Cleobury Mortimer.
Simon died in 1940 and his ashes were scattered here at his request.
